ALLENTOWN – At a breakfast with supporters today, former Green Party Congressional candidate Greta Browne
endorsed Democratic candidate Sam Bennett for Congress.
"If you have supported me in
the past I'd like you to support Sam in this election,” said Browne. "We won't always agree on every issue, but I
know that we can count on her commitment to the well being of the common people
and the health and prosperity of our communities. She is definitely the
candidate to vote for this year to represent the Lehigh Valley in
Congress."
In the last two elections, the Green Party
endorsed Greta Browne as their nominee.
In 2006, more than 5,800 people came out to support her. Along with the Green Party, Greta Browne has
worked hard in the Lehigh Valley to advance important causes such as fairness in
the Democratic process, global climate change, and social justice.
“I am so honored to have Greta’s
support. Our district can’t afford
another two years of Congressman Dent,” said Bennett. “With Greta’s help, we can bring change to
the Lehigh Valley – an economic policy that helps middle and working class
families, an energy policy that focuses on renewable energy, and an
environmental policy that reverses the impact of global climate
change."
