ALLENTOWN – U.S. Senator Bob Casey
(D-PA) joined Democratic Congressional candidate Sam Bennett for a round table
today to listen to local voters at the Bennett 2008 Campaign Headquarters. Woody Kolb, along with his wife Marilyn,
talked about their retirement savings, Helen Goldberg talked about how rising
fuel costs are hurting her business, and Vince Zoppi talked about his falling
property values. Sen. Casey urged all
those in the Lehigh Valley that want change to vote for Obama, Biden, and
Bennett.
“Sam’s got a good combination of
business experience, she is a wife and mother, and she’s got good ideas. We
could use more of that in Congress,” said Sen. Casey. “Sam’s a great candidate because she is so
focused on the issues as well as solutions, the likes of which don’t you see on
any campaign, especially for Congress.
I’m looking forward to seeing Sam Bennett in the House of
Representatives.”
Sen. Casey praised Bennett’s E³
Security Plan and the importance of making sure that a solution to the economy,
energy, or the environment should be a solution to all. He echoed Bennett’s call for new safeguards
for Wall Street to protect American jobs, retirement savings, and home
ownership.
Sen. Casey’s visit came the morning
after Vice Presidential Nominee Joe Biden recognized Sam Bennett at a Muhlenberg
College rally. At the Bennett 2008
Headquarters, Sen. Casey took time to talk about the issues and show his strong
support for Democrat Sam Bennett for Congress. Watch the highlights - Click Here |
