You Owe $100,000, thanks to Bush and Dent

Every family in the Lehigh Valley knows you can’t run up debt year after year.

In the year 2000, the federal government posted a surplus of over $200 billion. But since then, George Bush and Congressman Dent have added over $3 trillion dollars to the Federal debt.

In October 2005, our national debt passed $8 trillion dollars, and a family of four now owes over $100,000 in Federal debt. This is simply unfair.

Every day, our government borrows almost a billion dollars from China, Japan, the Middle East, and Europe. If we don’t stop running up deficits, our children and grandchildren will be sending hundreds of billions of dollars a year to Beijing and Riyadh.

It takes Democrats to balance a budget and clean up the Republican mess – we did it after Reagan and the first Bush, and we’ll do it after this Bush.
